A Fun and Fizzy Shark Attack Drink

If you’ve ever been to Swig or love their creative drinks, you know the hype is real! This Swig Shark Attack Drink is their most popular kids’ drink. It’s fruity, fizzy, and slightly soda. It’s as fun to make as it is to drink. With layers of Sprite, lemonade, and blue raspberry, it’s got that ocean-inspired look—and don’t forget the gummy shark on top for the full effect!

Whether you’re whipping this up for a pool party or need a sweet pick-me-up, this recipe is a favorite in our house.

Recipe Ingredients & Substitutions

Here’s everything you need to make this shark attack drink, including simple substitutions.

  • Gummy Sharks (optional but highly recommended!) – These are just for fun, but they make this copycat drink just like Swig’s.
  • Pebble Ice (3 cups total) – The signature ice of soda shops. If you don’t have pebble ice, crush regular ice in a blender or use small ice cubes.
  • Sprite (12 oz can) – This is the bubbly base; it’s refreshing and citrusy. You can sub in any lemon-lime soda (like 7-Up or Sierra Mist). Zero-sugar soda will work, too.
  • Lemonade (½ cup) – Adds that tart twist to balance the sweetness. Fresh-squeezed is great, but bottled lemonade works well, too.
  • Blue Raspberry Syrup (4 Tbsp) – The real star of the show. Sweet, vibrant, and neon blue. Torani or any flavored syrup brand will do. Can’t find blue raspberry? Try using blueberry syrup.

Recipe Tip

Pebble Ice Hack: Don’t have pebble ice? You can crush regular ice in a blender or wrap it in a towel and gently smash it with a rolling pin.

Shark Attack Recipe FAQs

Can I use a different soda besides Sprite?

Sure! You can use any lemon-lime soda. You could also use club soda, but it will be less sweet-tasting than the Sprite.

What kind of lemonade should I use?

Store-bought or homemade work great. One of my favorite homemade lemonade recipes can be found here

Are the gummy sharks necessary?

Nope! This is a totally optional fun garnish I like to add to the drink.

Can I make a big batch for a party?

For sure! Just divide the number of servings you want by two (the serving size for the recipe as written) and then multiply each ingredient by that number. For example, if I want 32 servings, I will divide 32 by 2, which equals 16, and then multiply 16 by each ingredient amount. For instance, 3 cups of ice multiplied by 16 equals 48 cups of ice. Mix everything in a punch bowl and add a gummy shark to each cup as they add the drink to their cup.
