Recipe Tip

Microwave the Chocolate in Short Bursts: Microwave the chocolate and condensed milk in 30-second intervals, stirring in between. This prevents overheating and seizing the chocolate.

Don’t Overheat: Overheating can lead to a grainy texture. If the mixture starts to seize, add a tablespoon of hot water and stir vigorously.

Sharp Knife: Use a sharp knife to cut clean, crisp edges.

Recipe FAQS

Can I use different types of chocolate chips?

I prefer to use semi-sweet chocolate chips, but you can also use milk, dark, or even white chocolate chips.

What if I don’t have parchment paper?

Instead of parchment paper, use aluminum foil lightly greased with cooking spray.

Why didn’t my fudge set properly?

Be sure to measure the ingredients correctly. If the ingredients are off, it can affect the texture of the fudge and prevent it from setting. If the fudge is still too soft, allow it to sit longer in the fridge to become more firm.

Recipe Variations

Add a sprinkle of sea salt to the top of the fudge before putting it in the refrigerator.

Add chopped nuts like walnuts, pecans, or almonds to the mixture before pouring it into the pan.

Stir in a few drops of peppermint or almond extract for festive flavors.

For a creamier fudge texture, slightly underchill the fudge.

Storage Tips

STORE: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.

FREEZE: Wrap the fudge tightly in plastic wrap and store it in an airtight container for up to three months.
