Important Recipe Tip

The turkey breast is already cooked, so we cook it on low. Don’t be tempted to crank the heat to high. This will dry it out.

Storage Tips

STORE: Store sliced turkey in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days.

FREEZE: Place the sliced turkey in a freezer-safe container and freeze for up to three months.

Recipe FAQs

Can I cook it on high?

You can, but it may dry out. Low heat is best for tender, juicy turkey.

How do I know when it’s done?

Use a meat thermometer. The turkey should reach an internal temperature of 165°F.

Can I use frozen turkey breast?

Sure, but I recommend thawing it first, to ensure even cooking.

I tried this recipe for.Thanksgiving 2025. My guests loved it. Personally, I would use half the salt next time. But nobody but me seemed to mind. The sage adds terrific flavor to the ham.

I made this for a large Friendsgiving we hosted, and more than 5 people asked me for the recipe. My husband said it’s the best turkey he’s ever had. It’s so incredibly easy and comes out so moist!
