Keyword: boba
Servings: 2 people
- ½ cup quick-cooking brown sugar boba pearls
- 1 Tablespoon honey or simple syrup
- 2 cups mango nectar chilled
- ½ cup whole milk or oat milk
- 1 cup ice
GARNISH:
- 2 Tablespoons heavy cream or half & half optional, for extra creaminess
- Diced fresh mango
Cook the Boba Pearls:
Cook the boba according to package instructions (usually 3-5 minutes for quick-cooking boba). Drain and rinse under cold water.
Toss the cooked boba in a teaspoon of honey or simple syrup to keep them from sticking.
Garnish and Serve:
Top with a splash of cream or half-and-half if you prefer a richer flavor.
Add diced mango on top, optional.
Add wide boba straws and serve immediately, while the drink is cold.
To store boba: Cooked boba is best used right away, but you can keep the pearls in a bit of syrup at room temperature for up to 4 hours. After that, they start to lose their chewy texture.
To prep ahead: Mix the mango nectar and milk in advance and keep it chilled. Cook the boba just before serving for the best results.
