This homemade spiced apple cider mix is cozy, sweet, and full of fall flavor. Just stir into hot apple juice, cider, or water for the perfect comforting drink.

Cozy Homemade Apple Cider Mix
This Apple Cider Mix is my favorite Fall-time hack. I keep the ingredients on hand, so I can make it anytime I want without having to rush to the store to buy some. It’s also a fun and unique gift to put in a jar for gifting to friends and family. It’s simple, cozy, and tastes like Autumn in a cup!
Ingredients
Six ingredients are all you need to make this recipe. I have also listed a few substitution recommendations for your convenience.
- 3 cups granulated sugar – Balances the bold spices.
- 1 cup light brown sugar – Adds a caramel-like warmth to the drink.
- ½ cup apple powder – Gives the drink its signature apple flavor. If you cannot find apple powder, unsweetened instant apple drink mix is a good substitute.
- 3 Tablespoons ground cinnamon – Provides the warm Fall flavor. You could use Pumpkin Pie Spice in a pinch.
- 3 Tablespoons nutmeg – Adds a nutty flavor. Ground mace has a similar flavor profile and can be swapped in equal amounts.
- 3 Tablespoons allspice – Gives the cider depth. You can easily make your own allspice by combining cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove if needed.

How To Make Apple Cider Mix
Mix everything and store it until you are ready to use it.
Let me show you how:
- In a large mixing bowl, add the sugar, brown sugar, apple powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
- Stir until everything is combined and no clumps remain.
- Transfer to an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place.

Recipe Tip
- You can use 1 cup of warm apple juice, water, orange juice, or apple cider mixed with 3-4 tablespoons of the mix.
- Make sure the mix is thoroughly blended so each scoop has a consistent balance of spices.
- If your mix clumps, run it through a food processor or whisk again before storing.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less mix to your cup, since different liquids (like apple juice versus water) may need different amounts.

Apple Cider Mix Recipe FAQs
Stir 3-4 tablespoons of the dry mix into 8 ounces of hot apple juice, apple cider, or water. You can adjust the amount of dry mix to your taste preferences.
Definitely, it’s an excellent addition for adding a little spice to your pancake batter or even sprinkling it over some oatmeal.
I prefer it in a warm drink, but cold will work. First, stir the mix in warm water to dissolve it. Then, add some ice cubes to cool the drink down.
