Strawberry Breeze Copycat Recipe

Who doesn’t love a trip to the soda shop drive-thru? But let’s be real, those delicious drinks can get expensive! So, I’ve taken matters into my own hands and started making copycat versions at home. This Strawberry Breeze is a perfect example, and you should also check out my amazing Dirty Dr Pepper recipe!

You’ll adore this recipe for several reasons. It’s incredibly refreshing and light, thanks to the bubbly seltzer water. The creamy coconut and sweet strawberry flavors create a dreamy and irresistible combination.

Recipe Ingredients and Substitutions

Here are the simple ingredients for making a copycat Strawberry Breeze at home. Simple recipe substitutions are also included.

The recipe ingredients with text overlay labeling each.

Pebble ice (2 cups) – The key to making this extra refreshing! Pebble ice melts slower and gives the drink a light, slushy texture. You can also use crushed ice.

Frozen diced strawberries (2 Tablespoons) – These keep the drink cold while adding bursts of fresh strawberry flavor. Fresh strawberries work, too, but frozen gives an extra chill factor.

Seltzer water (12 oz can) – The bubbles make everything bright and crisp. You can use plain or lightly flavored seltzer like coconut or strawberry for extra flavor.

Vanilla syrup (2 Tablespoons) – Adds a sweet, smooth warmth that complements the fruity flavors beautifully. Swap with simple syrup and a dash of vanilla extract if needed.

Coconut syrup (2 Tablespoons) – Brings a rich, tropical sweetness. If you don’t have coconut syrup, try a little extra cream of coconut instead.

Cream of coconut (2 Tablespoons) – This gives the drink a creamy, luscious texture. Make sure to use cream of coconut (not coconut milk) for the best flavor.

Strawberry puree (2 Tablespoons) – Intensifies the strawberry goodness! I use store-bought puree, but to make strawberry puree, blend fresh strawberries with a bit of sugar if you don’t have store-bought puree.

How To Make A Strawberry Breeze

This drink is incredibly quick and easy to make. It requires only 5 minutes of your time and no special equipment. Let me show you how.

  • Pour 1 cup of ice in each glass.
  • Add in 1 Tablespoon of frozen strawberries in each glass.
  • Pour 6 ounces of seltzer in each glass, and mix.
  • Add in 1 Tablespoon of the vanilla syrup and coconut syrup in each glass and mix.
  • Add in 1 Tablespoon of the cream of coconut and strawberry puree in each glass and mix.
  • Serve and Enjoy!

Top Recipe Tips

Use pebble ice if possible – It keeps the drink cold and adds to the texture. If you don’t have pebble ice, crushed ice works well too.

Stir after each addition – This ensures every sip has a balanced mix of flavors.

Adjust sweetness to taste – If you prefer your Strawberry Breeze to be less sweet, reduce the syrups slightly or add more seltzer.

Strawberry Breeze Recipe FAQs

Can I use fresh strawberries instead of frozen ones?

Yes, fresh diced strawberries work just as well, but frozen ones help keep the drink extra cold.

Can I make this drink ahead of time?

Not really—the fizz will go flat. However, you can mix the syrups and purees ahead of time and add them to the drink when serving.

What kind of seltzer should I use?

Any unflavored plain seltzer works best, but you can also try a light strawberry or coconut-flavored seltzer for extra taste.

Can I make a large batch?

Absolutely! Just multiply the ingredients by the needed servings and mix in a pitcher before pouring over ice.
