FOR THE CHEESE BALL:
- 16 ounces cream cheese softened
- 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 green onions finely sliced
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
COATING:
- ¾ cup pecans finely chopped
DECORATIONS:
- 2 large pretzel twists for the antlers
- 2 medium pitted black olives for the eyes
- cranberry or small red cherry tomato for the nose
MAKE CHEESE BALL MIXTURE:
Add cream cheese to a large bowl and beat until smooth.
Add shredded cheese, onions, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings.
Blend until well combined.
FORM CHEESE BALL:
Chop pecans and spread in a thin layer on a baking sheet or working surface.
Form cheese mixture into a ball.
Roll in pecans.
Wrap in plastic and chill in the refrigerator at least 1 hour before serving.
DECORATE AND SERVE:
When you are ready to serve, add the antlers and face to make the reindeer. Use pretzel twists for the antlers, pitted black olives for the eyes, and a cranberry or small cherry tomato for the nose.
Serve with crackers of your choice.
